OOPS! Let’s have a show of hands…how many of you have made an OOPS or two over the course of the last few weeks during quarantine? I know I sure have! The good thing is that these OOPS don’t define me! In fact, they refine me! There is no way we can grow and learn new skills if we don’t make mistakes. The time that we are going through is a whole new territory for everyone. We expect to make mistakes. It is through our mistakes that we learn some of our greatest lessons…eventually. 🙂
In this week’s Brain Smart Start we are focusing on celebrating our OOPS along with our achievements! In our activity to commit, you will find that we are asking you to reflect at the end of the day and discuss with your child how they did with their commitment for the day. Did they Oops or did they achieve it? Both of these offer rich opportunity for reflection. You can find a helpful visual from Conscious Discipline here.
If you would like to print out our commitments for this week you can do that by following this link.
Now it’s time to grab a friend and join us for this week’s Brain Smart Start! Let’s do this!
